- to scoff at Blu Ray Discs. WHY ARE THEY NECESSARY? I understood the VHS to DVD conversion. But DVD to Blu Ray? So, basically you're replacing a disc with a...uh...disc. Don't tell me it's better. A rose by any other name, my friend.
- to have a bit of a violent reaction when people still can't figure out the difference between your and you're. God help us!
- to desire to turn Jewish for one day, please? Let me explain: my good friend Ali got a free trip to Israel because she's Jewish...Not. Fair. I want a birthright trip! Jerusalem is so on my list of places to see. Is there a 'Chosen People' Qualification form?

I am so angry about the Blu-Ray thing. I mean, it took us long enough to adjust to DVDs and phase out all those VHS tapes. Ugh. I'm just refusing to adapt.
ReplyDelete1. My dad does blu-ray. I don't get it either.
ReplyDelete2. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! People are SO dumb when it comes to your and you're and there and their. I mean COME OOOOON!
Yes and yes!! (can't say I've ever wanted to be Jewish... but okay).
ReplyDeletehaha @ bella
ReplyDelete:D
I agree, blu-ray is so stupid! My husband loves it, I personally cannot see the difference!
ReplyDeleteI also get very mad about people not being able to tell the difference between your and you're!!! Though sometimes I'll admit I do mess up...but don't worry, I get mad at myself for it!
Or there, their, and they're. Or its and it's. Or my personal least favourite, which I've seen on at least two blogs: without further "adieu." Srsly?
ReplyDeletemmmm i get the blueray thing, i would not upgrade to that, nope!
ReplyDeleteOur A/V media has always evolved. VCR, BetaMax, DVDs, BluRay. It would be silly to refuse to upgrade, because in ~5 years you won't even be able to buy new DVDs.
ReplyDeleteOf course, this is somewhat controlled by the masses, but it appears that the masses are gladly switching to Blu-ray.
And then, there'll be something new after Blu-ray...
how about I still refuse to switch? :) I just think it's completely unnecessary. And I'm not the only one.
ReplyDeleteit's perfectly acceptable to do all those things. i approve. :)
ReplyDelete1. But it is better, to an extent. If you have an HDTV, you need a blu-ray to get HDTV quality video and better sound (which if you don't have the sound system is a moot point). Some shows/movies are just as good in "standard" definition, and sometimes you wanna feel like the characters are right there in your living room. Or I'm just a video-geek... either way, looks like everything is going streaming (Hulu, Netflix, etc)...
ReplyDelete2. Agreed. And people who understand "complement" vs. "compliment" get a million cool points in my book.
3. Haha. I want a Filipino trip of my own now!
Ryan...they've brainwashed you!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut have you SEEN "Lost" in HD? It's like the Smoke Monster is about to grab me in my living room!
ReplyDeleteJ/K. I will concede that there's no need to switch if you already own a movie on DVD. Do I really need to re-buy Lord of the Rings on Blu-Ray? No... but if given the choice of buying it for the first time, and BR is on sale, I'd go w/ BR.
Your so right on! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd how I supposed to keep up with so much blogging? Ha.
Donnnnnnyyyyy...oh NO you didn't!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I went blog crazy this week :D
