I kept my Fourth of July relatively low key (tis what happens when you have a summer cold).
This entailed watching Independence Day:
And eating homemade sliders (on sweet hawaiian rolls...yum!) :
However, even though I wanted to keep it low key, it seems San Diego had other plans:
Hmmm...I was wondering why the sky lit up like it was the apocalypse!
:)
Mmm, those sliders look amazing. Oh gosh. I think it sounds like you had a nice Fourth, despite the summer cold. You made the best of it!
ReplyDeleteneed those sliders, those look amazing!
ReplyDeleteStill very patriotic!
ReplyDeleteI love that you watched Independence Day! Even though I'm not american I wish I had watch it on the 4th :) Hope you're feeling better, and thank you so much for the sweet comment you left on my blog.
ReplyDeleteVery similar to mine, except substitute 'Independence Day' with my most guiltiest of pleasures, the Nic Cage classic, 'National Treasure. Parts 1 and 2, thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteI've been to two fireworks displays since the 4th. At both of them, someone has said, "I hope we don't pull a San Diego." At the very least, your pyrotechnic whoopsie has worked its way into popular lexicon.
