It's getting frosty in these here parts! Which means holidays and Christimas markets are springing up. London really comes alive during this time!
Produce growing on tables...I like it!
Living where James Bond lives = awesome.
Great bar in Clapham Common.
Meaty.
This is the poppy that is worn for a week in November to remember WWI. You'll see a plethora of paper poppies pinned to Londoners; it's cool, really!
A funny sign, but also a good reminder. My friend had her iPhone stolen last week!
Decent coffee in London. A hard find. This place is in the Swiss Cottage area.
Christmas Market in Hyde Park!
More Meat.
My friend Liz meating it up.
The London Eye, with extra Xmas sparkle!
An unintentionally blurry pic of Big Ben, but representative of how fast time is flying here in London (for me)!
This week, I'm going to be chained to my computer and locked in the library in order to finish some research papers. Ugh. I've had my fun in London, now it's time to get work done!
Ooooh I want to go to a Christmas market! Haven't seen any here yet, and besides it's so warm and nice my head doesn't understand Christmas is just around the corner! To get in the mood, I think it needs to be cold and preferably white around me. Oh well, I'll go to Norway for the holidays so I'll just wait and let it all sink in with the cold shock awaiting me!
ReplyDeleteLove Christmas markets...and I still have my poppy from when I was in London in November. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour blog makes my heart spark is the travel bug. Why do you do this to me?! I love seeing the Christmas touches from other parts of the world.
ReplyDeleteAaahh frost- that's no fun! And I live the paper poppy pins (try saying that really fast 3x haha), that's a very neat way to remember.
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas market looks like fun!

And this is all reminding me of Love Actually <- We had decided last year that this was not a chick flick, but a Christmas movie I was allowed to enjoy, right? ;-)
ReplyDeleteA little useless trivia for you: I studied The Great War for two years ... so I think the tribute is very awesome.
Well, it might be a LITTLE chick-flicky. haha. But it's better than most ;)
