I Miss You

That "You" I'm talking about is old R&B, from the 90s and before...

Is there even a such thing as R&B anymore? Do the acts even sing anymore? Because all I hear are machines, auto-tuners and synthesizers. I miss the days when singers had to sing...

  1. i know... it's a travesty. i don't even listen to anything 'popular' anymore because it's all garbage to me. autotuned and synthesized so much that there's hardly any music left in it. the same beat that runs for the duration of the song, nothing new, no variety, no surprises, lyrics that mean nothing.

i just don't listen to 'music' anymore.

  4. Oh mannnnnn... Aaliyah. This vid takes me back. Agreed though. There is no more R&B these days - I wish I'd gotten to see her in concert back in the day!

  6. ok first, STEVIE! thank you for including him. i'm a huge fan, but i do have to side with barry a little bit. although, i don't think it was his 80s and later material being so bad, but that string of albums from 71-76 were so brilliant. but you're right, it's pretty bad. although erykah badu, prince and a couple other are still making some good music.
