I've read 12/100. And I just wanted to say, I'm surprised A Farewell to Arms is not on this list. I want to read more on this list (and classics in general) for sure!

I've read Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, ALMOST the whole Harry Potter series (does this count as 7?), The Time Traveler’s Wife, The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Winnie the Pooh, A Tale Of Two Cities, The Lovely Bones, Charlotte’s Web, Hamlet, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. That's... 12 too! Woot for being twice as literarily nerdy as the national average :)

ReplyDeleteI actually have read 15 of these, and there are many on this list that is on my waiting list of books to read next. I actually have The Color Purple as my next book, and can't believe I haven't read it yet.
I was thinking about that too: no Hemmingway AT ALL. interesting, this random compilation of 100 books.

I'll have to do this one. I've read quite a few of them. Wait, does it count if you've seen the movie? Ha. I'm going to have to steal this post, as well. I would say out of this list, the one you need (with a capital NEED) to read is John Kennedy Toole's A Confederacy of Dunces. It's brilliant. Oh, and props to anyone who crosses #75 off.
